Among many other things that many other people have already pointed out, if that's the truth, then are they actually working on the thing AT ALL? Or are they going to risk typos and syntax mistakes? Because the price they're charging (about 25 USD) should cover also the editing, 'kthxbai, if only because it's a fundamental part of the publishing process and those who are obtuse enough supporting them and want to buy the damn book deserve that respect, to the very least.

They just suck so much from every angle.

El pasado fin de semana fue todo un fracaso para la industria cinematográfica, cuya recaudación en cines no llegó apenas ni a la mitad de lo esperado. La culpa: de Halo 3. En términos generales, la histeria colectiva aún no se acaba, fandom_counts ya rebasó la barrera de los 20,000 miembros, la entrada en f_w tiene más de 2600 comentarios, la gente sigue spameando las entradas en news, los geeks de /. están discutiendo la noticia, los goons de SomethingAwful simpatizan con los fandomers (!), en Digg la noticia llegó a portada...

Y, aunque he estado castigando F5 cada oportunidad que tengo, a mí lo que más me importa es lo que voy a hacer yo.
Tengo una cuenta en GJ. una en JF y una en Blogger, así que pasarme a cualquiera de los otros sitios--o a todos ellos, incluso, mareando el contenido--no me representaría realmente mayor problema. La cosa es que no sé si de verdad lo quiera hacer. ¿Por qué? Por aquellos de ustedes que se quedan, por las comunidades que sigo, en especial las de mascotas.
Así que, lo más probable es que solamente mude los fics para GJ y borre fujurpreuxfics, pero que deje este para algunas tonterías. A menos que todos ustedes se vayan, en cuyo caso para allá mudaré mis tonteras. xD

El punto es que todo este drama apareció en el momento menos oportuno para yours truly. Me estoy muriendo de sueño, así que me voy a dormir, a ver si este teatrito no se cae durante la noche.

Lo que sí es seguro, es que mañana les cuento las nuevas aventuras del Pavo Real Pelón.

Al final sucumbí a la paranoia e hice respaldo de todas las entradas de este journal y fujurpreuxfics.

So I went to poke around. The contest's prize is a screener from whatever movie you like in a local movie theater. And even if I didn't think Cinepolis would go for it, I got an account anyway because, well, it could be a nice place to pimp the fics.
But there was this little, lovely detail that I didn't exactly like about the whole thing:

I don't know about you, but I become fairly paranoic of a site that asks my password for another site. And that's what actually prevented me from posting anything there.

I was going to let it go and find other shinies to focus on when I saw a metafandom post with a bunch of links to the reactions of people who took the time to poke around more deeply than I did. This one about the TOS is particularly enlightening.

So, I'm just passing the voice. :3
